My reading for my Race and Gender class had the phrase “aesthetic heat”.  I immediately thought that that would be a horrible name for the new Nikki Heat book.  Can Castle premiere now please?

JESUS H CHRIST THE NEXT STEP IN THEIR RELATIONSHIP ISN'T TIL MIDSEASON?! He's just being cruel now.

• TV Guide: What can you say about that relationship moving forward?
• Marlowe: I think people will be frustrated until I do the next set of reveals at midseason. My feeling about TV audiences is that they love to be frustrated and then fulfilled. What we're telling here is a great love story, and great love stories take a long time to resolve. Feelings ebb and flow, relationships are complicated, timing is wrong. I do know where I want to end up with these people. I know what the resolution is between them but there's a lot of great storytelling between now and then.

There you have it. Beckett lives. Now breathe Castle Fandom. Breathe.

• TV Guide: So will you be adding a new boss at the precinct next season?
• Marlowe: That's one of the opportunities we're looking to take. Everybody's getting along really well in the precinct, and we think there can be a little more conflict. We think it's interesting to grow Beckett and Castle by having somebody who may not look as favorably on Beckett as the Captain did or may not look as favorably on the Castle-Beckett relationship. That's all stuff we're plotting out for next year as we speak.

MAY 16TH - 126 days of pain - SEPTEMBER 19TH

So in all likelihood Castle will premiere at 10 o’clock on September 19th.  Let’s just talk about the epicness of this for my life.  The weekend before I will be partying my life away in a preemptive celebration of my 21st birthday with my friends who are not of age.  THEN - Castle Season 4 premieres on Monday September 19th (and if ABC and Andrew Marlowe want to give me a birthday present it should be of Castle and Beckett finally ending this ridiculous relationship game).  Then when Castle is over at 11PM, I will head out to the bars at midnight to celebrate my 21st birthday the right way.  The week will progress in a similar manner.

Long story short - Castle Season 4 premieres during Kaitapalooza and I’m stoked.
